The Hello Bar is a simple web toolbar that engages users and communicates a call to action.

Welcome to our website…

Hello, welcome to the new MSRID webpage. It was designed by Jason Boyd, the Deaf Weatherman! It’s a beautiful webpage: when you see it, you’ll discover how sleek and easily accessible and simple it is to move through the site.

There are many features. One of the first things you’ll notice at the bottom of the first page there will always be a schedule of events. Or, if you’d rather, you can click a tab at the top of the page for event listings.

You need to install or upgrade Flash Player to view this content, install or upgrade by clicking here.

Another feature is when workshops or events happen, pictures will be taken and posted on the website. It will be a nice way to remember good times or realize you missed a great event!

You can take a tour of the website and see all it currently has. But there are plans for more features! One example of a future feature is the ability to pay your dues online. In the past you had to print the registration, fill it out, write the check and sent it by snailmail. The new feature will let you click a button and fill your registration out online and then pay your dues with Paypal or secured credit card payment. This will be safe, simple, and fast.

Also you will have the ability to register online for workshops. Again, instead of snailmail hoping your registration makes the deadline, you will have the convenience to fill out an electronic registration form and pay through Paypal.

And suppose you have an idea for an event, or know of a workshop that is upcoming that we overlooked to include on the events listings. You always can contact the web manager to include your suggestions. One example might be you pass your national certification test and receive your NIC! We’ll post your picture and let everyone know to congratulate you! Why not?!

Another nice feature we have is a link to our MSRID Facebook page on our website.

Later we will also have the opportunity for more interaction on the website in blogs, vlogs, and comments and discussion, because this is a professional site where we can discuss anything related to our field. Suppose you are looking for information about professional conduct in courtroom interpreting or you are looking for more access and exposure to information. Throw it out on the comments section and see what responses you will get.

We are very excited about this website. There are so many opportunities, so many things that can be done here. Who knows, maybe one day instead of driving to a workshop, you can access it through your own computer in a live stream and participate. The technology is incredible!

Again, the MSRID Board welcomes you to your new website. Let us know any ideas, suggestions because it’s your organization, your profession, your chance to be encouraged.

Thank you for watching. Bye!
