June 30th is the last day of the RID membership year. Now is the time to renew your RID membership, if you haven’t done so yet!
All certified interpreters registered with the state of Mississippi need to have their dues paid and proof of being current must be in to the Office on Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) by July 1st in order to be in compliance with state law.
Certified interpreters should email or fax a copy their membership card to ODHH by end of business on June 30th so they can work the next day. If not, they are in violation of SB 2794. Here is the link to the interpreter law: http://www.odhh.org/sb2715sg.pdf

Again, this is a reminder to certified members of RID whose national membership expires today. It is not a reminder for MSRID membership renewal. Those who hold a QA level or other credential should follow the law as it pertains to them.
